In 1924, Bartholomew Perrone emigrated from Sicily to New Orleans and opened a deli. Since then the Perrone family has been synonymous with providing the local market with great quality food at a reasonable price. We were part of the original Italian deli’s that created the much famed New Orleans Muffuletta. In the late 1980’s the large population of Italians in the French Quarter moved into the suburbs, creating a problem for local delis such as our own. We quickly changed our approach and started selling our quality product to restaurants and grocery stores in the metro area.
